Hey Everyone, Thought I'd share something amusing from our early days. Who's that a**shole on the mic?! In order to get our first few shows we basically had to hustle. We hadn't been practising long, but for some weird reason I had it in my mind, that we needed some quick shows before we lose momentum.
Being in a band you need to spend countless hours making sure the songs are down pat. In fact 2 weeks ago Secret Broadcast was practising next to us and I could swear they were practising "Raygun" for well over an hour. It goes without saying that if you don't put the time in, everything can fall apart very quickly, unless you're really good at hiding your mistakes. Our first couple of shows were down to the wire. Got to the point were we started with the notion that in the event we didn't have enough songs in our setlist, we'd end up playing Blitzkrieg Bop by The Ramones. It's such a ridiculously easy song, we knew what to play without practise. I'm happy to say we never played Blitzkrieg Bop. Unfortunately I would of preferred it to some of the covers we've botched in the past... Those stories are for another time Cheers, Matt Di Leo Searching For Kim, Lead Vocals Hello everybody,
So yes, I did that thing where I just post a date in the hopes of captivating you by being cryptic. Get to the point, what does it mean? Searching For Kim is going to be making a live performance at CFRE Radio. We will be doing a small set followed by an interview live on the radio and all of you can watch it for free! What time are you on? Currently we're trying to negotiate that. As this will be a 24 hour broadcast event, we will have to secure our time slot without interfering with others. What we're thinking is between 2pm and 4pm as that'll be a way to get more listeners. What does the set list look like? You'll have to find out. What's the website link? Right Here In closing, I hope you guys can listen in, as we're working pretty hard to get ready for the show. Cheers, Matt Di Leo |
