A brand new start for brand new possibilities.
Ah, 2015.
As of writing this post it's been 11 months since I've performed onstage with any member of our lineup. This is not because I've longed for a solo career either. We had to do a lot of rebuilding and sometimes it may need a lot of work. Whether it's confidence or audience peer pressure, I think it's about time we did something to change this.
So what I'm doing right now is scouring the province for some small showcases for March and onwards. I figure it would be a good way to test the waters and see where we're at. There's only so much practise we can do and it's been more than enough to keep you waiting for so long.
Now the question I keep asking myself is, if we do a show, what do we call ourselves? We're not SFK anymore. We have a band name but we don't want to go public with it until the logo is at least finished. What's the deal?
If you'd allow me to be artsy, it could mark the end of a chapter as we transition to a new one. Cast off our old expectations and make way to the new and improved musical artists that stand before you. Proud, confident and ready to bring the house down.
So in conclusion, we are looking to do some test shows in March and then depending on the turnout, possibly ramping things up from there.
If you know a band or a venue that is in need of acts, reply to this message and I'll contact you within the week.
Till then, I thank you for continuing to be a part of this weird musical journey.
