for many, they are simple musical equipment. For people like me, they're something your going to inadvertently kiss a couple times a night.
It's not like I do it on purpose, come hell or high water it just happends. Wether by misjudging distance, or just rocking a little too hard, your going to romance the hell out of that metal.
During our last show at Horseshoe, it happened three times within our 45 min set. While it might not seem like it's a big deal, I'd like to present you with exhibit A:
This isn't a blog on proper microphone etiquette, far from it. That being said, if you want to go hog wild, remember: odds are someone else has beaten you to it, done worse, and probably hasn't been cleaned off of that microphone you're about to jam god knows where.
When it comes down to it, once you have a designated sound guy, you might want to bring your own gear.
